Frodo is Stoic in the truest sense: he accepts a burden that would crush most people and simply keeps going, holding the line on principle long after it stops being bearable. Endurance is his entire arc.

He is Empiricist in a humble way, learning the road by walking it, trusting what he sees and feels over grand prophecy. And he is profoundly Sisyphean, the same heavy task repeated up the same impossible slope, refining nothing but his own resolve, mile after mile.
