Wings
Grounded Loyalty vs Exploration
A Wings type is drawn toward exploration, change, and transcendence, growing by reaching past the familiar.
What "Wings" means
A Wings type reaches outward. Change, novelty, and the unfamiliar are not threats but invitations, and growth means leaving the known behind to find what is next. This pole draws on the Adaptability facet of Trait EI and maps to high Openness to Experience.
Attachment theory names this the exploration drive, the necessary counterweight to the secure base, observed across the whole lifespan. Schwartz's framework adds Self-Direction and Stimulation. A Wings type trusts that they will land on their feet, and that trust is what lets them keep moving toward the horizon when others stay put.
